Direction 05 · Voice-first companion (multimodal)

Talk to your buyer's agent like a phone call — and watch the proof arrive as you speak.

A calm voice surface where, as the agent talks, glanceable artifacts surface in sync — the appraisal card, the comp chart, the suburb mini-profile — pinned so you can tap to audit later. A live transcript with each spoken claim linked to its source. Designed for the moment you're standing on the footpath outside an open home: hands-busy, in public, 30 seconds before you walk in.

The research lesson (RESEARCH §4): voice is multimodal, not voice-only. A spoken valuation you can't check is worse than useless. So voice carries intent + a short verdict; the eyes get the computed facts and cite-or-abstain provenance. Every number is auditable; every gap is honest.

Call screen

01-call-screen.html

A familiar push-to-talk call: hold to talk, the agent speaks a short verdict and drops a pinned appraisal card into the live transcript. Voice asks; the card is what you audit after you hang up.

InteractionPTT + transcript. Spoken answer → card drops into the thread, pinned to the call.
Hero data12 Wallaroy Rd, Woollahra · ~8–13% over comps · 6 comps $3.35–3.55m
StatesAgent working step trace · speaking waveforms · honest gap (flood overlay)
Provenance"The 6 comps behind this number" — tappable source cards, agency-direct
Conservative ↔ inventive tradeoff
Lowest risk. Reuses call-screen muscle memory (PTT, end-call, linear thread). The card "drops in" but layout stays a safe scrollable transcript. The cost: it feels like a feature, not a presence.
● Middle · the killer scenario

Footpath mode

03-footpath.html

The whole screen reframed around "standing outside an open home." Geo-pinned to the listing, the spoken verdict lands as a big glanceable line + Replay, with the artifacts you'll want before you walk in: appraisal band, fit-vs-brief, the comps, "what to ask inside."

InteractionAsk quietly (PTT) in public → one-line verdict captured + replayable; scroll to audit.
Hero data5 Mount St, Coogee · Fair · at comps $3.35–3.45m · 7 comps · auction Sat
States"Inspecting now" geo badge · spoken-verdict capture · honest gap (B&P, flood)
ProvenanceFit checklist (each ✓ → its data) + "7 comps behind fair", caught early
Conservative ↔ inventive tradeoff
Pragmatic middle. Keeps the conservative card grammar but bets the whole screen on one high-stakes, contextual moment. Most opinionated; the variant most likely to win a real buyer on a Saturday.

Ambient orb

02-ambient-orb.html

An always-listening live call. The breathing orb is the liveness cue; as the agent narrates, content-rich artifacts dissolve in timed to the words — appraisal, then comp chart on "here's the chart," then the suburb profile. "Tap to see the comps it just mentioned."

InteractionAlways-listening + barge-in. Spoken caption builds; cards materialise in sync with speech.
Hero data42 Brighton Blvd, Bondi Beach · ~9% over · comp chart · decile 9
StatesListening dock · orb speaking/reasoning · staggered card materialise · honest gap (erosion)
ProvenanceComp chart as visual proof + inline [1] + "tap to see the 6 comps"
Conservative ↔ inventive tradeoff
Boldest. Drops the chat-thread metaphor for an ambient, speech-synced surface. Highest reward (feels like a real call with a sharp agent), highest risk (timing cards to speech is hard; latency shows).
